De Goede Hoop is a private estate where one of the biggest sales ever in Noordhoek took place. Chapmans Peak area is fast becoming the jet set area with people fighting to get properties on the limited area above the beach. It is also popular for its 2 Acre equestrian farms and then in the avenues the more reasonably priced "renovators dreams" which were the originally built properties. Belvedere and Noordhaven are for the lock up and go high flyers who do not want to look after a bigger property and/or horses. These properties are generally very modern and consist of large homes on fairly small erven by Noordhoek standards. San Michelle is for the renovators as it was the original development in the area and although the houses to renovate are becoming less and less available there is still a chance for you to find a good deal in this area. Crofters Valley, Brambledene and Dassenberg are equestrian Acres where everyone seems to have chickens, pigs or some kind of interesting pet! Lots of dog lovers in this area. All the properties are 1 Acre and you are allowed to have 2 horses and a cottage for the in laws. Danielsdale is fairly unknown by most and hosts stunning 3 Acre farms - mainly with horses on them. Liverly in the area is very sought after and the price is anything from R4500 per horse.

Kommetjie is a predominantly residential, coastal suburb situated on the Atlantic Ocean side of the Southern Peninsula. The village is known for its spectacular long, sandy beach that stretch southwards from neighbouring suburbs. Locals can enjoy wonderful walks along the stretch of the beach towards the Kakapo Shipwreck, which ran aground in 1900. Derived from the word "Kom" meaning "small basin", as Kommetjie is located around a small natural cove that resembles a basin. The quaint village that is Kommetjie, although on the outskirts of the peninsula, is close enough to amenities local amenities. This is a laid-back seaside town on the shores of False Bay what is Cape Town's nicest swimming beach. It is much warmer to swim here than at the beaches on the Atlantic Seaboard. It is flat, wide, and the water is generally calm - so is very child-friendly. It's also a very popular surfing area. There are a variety of surf and adventure operators, restaurants, coffee shops and apartments located along the main beach.Look out for the brightly coloured Victorian beach houses which always provide a good photo opportunity. Muizenberg is the start of a vast white sand beach that stretches all the way to Gordon's Bay - a distance of about 40km (25miles).
The shark spotter programme that has been rolled out at a number of beaches along False Bay had its humble beginnings at Muizenberg.
Shark spotters positioned high up on the side of the mountain raise the alarm when sharks are spotted, so visitors know when it's not safe to go in the water.
