'THE COMPANY WITH CHARACTER'

This tagline came about because our agents were all such wild and diverse 'characters'. That is still true. Rose is ever supportive of the unique cast of characters she has assembled around her. But I also believe that our tagline goes beyond this anecdote...

At the foundation of our company is the strength of character that Rose has built the business on. It has been a consistent and key guiding principle of Rose Eedes Properties, and our slogan reminds both our clients and ourselves of who we are, and what our core values are at all times.

It is why the house that Rose built has stood strong throughout the 2008 crash, and the pandemic, and whatever the market has thrown at our industry.

Rose started the company while pregnant with Tamryn in 1990. She was working full-time at Truworths and joined Upton Properties that operated out of Llandudno. She needed to be close to home, so she elected to focus on Observatory, and would knock on the doors of one street every night, asking people if they would like to sell their homes. I am guessing that the sight of a heavily pregnant, six-foot-tall blonde at their door had the right effect because the company took off. She and Michael soon moved from a cottage on Lytton Street to the front room of a big Victorian house at 14 Bedford Street and continued raising their family in the back.

Rose Eedes Properties moved to the now iconic office at 23 Station Road, Observatory, and along the way added offices in Fish Hoek, Westlake, City Bowl and quite recently Plettenberg Bay to accommodate her growing team.
