Who we are

Rose Eedes believes that what you do to others always comes back to you and cites integrity and professionalism as being paramount to success in the property industry. She started her own business over 30 years ago, operating from her house in Observatory.

It wasn't long before she began expanding the business and today, Rose Eedes Properties operates in the areas of City Bowl, Atlantic Seaboard, Southern Suburbs, the Cape Peninsula and Plettenberg Bay. The business now has four offices, Station Road in Observatory, Main Road in Fish Hoek, Westlake Square in Westlake and recently expanded to Whale Rock Ridge, Plettenberg Bay.

In this industry, you have to be really tough, work hard and be thoroughly dedicated to the business. The client is the most important aspect of the job and you need to be a people person to help them find exactly what they want. "If you are ethical and operate a clean business by sticking to the moral standards you are comfortable with, you can't go wrong. Being an honest, reputable dealer, often leads to referrals and clients coming back to you time and again."

Roses' financial sense has stood her in good stead with the day-to-day running of her business, which she sees as vital to the business's survival. She sees her staff as being one of the most important aspects of the business and takes a keen interest in their development.

"We have tapped into the market in Observatory and the City Bowl and many of our consultants operating in these areas are young, up-and-coming and vibrant to meeting the needs of this market. My approach to the management of my staff is to encourage them to build their own businesses within my business. It's important to me to empower my consultants so that they don't feel like they have a boss looking over their shoulder all the time."
