An artisan couple have created a unique live and work home in Woodstock. Entrance to the property is across a cobbled driveway, and onto the front veranda with it’s original Victorian vitrified ceramic tile. The tile continues into the wide entrance hall.
To the right is the first of two lounges, this one with wooden floors, working fireplace, and light streaming in through a big front window.
To the left is the second lounge, possibly once used as a third bedroom, with a freestanding fireplace and chimney separating the space from the bedroom behind it. This room has a beautifully designed built-in closet system, and a window onto the back yard.
To the right down the hallway is the first of two bathrooms, this one with stuccoed walls and an “outdoor” shower.
The main bedroom with ensuite bathroom and loft is off of the kitchen, as is a scullery. The kitchen is farm-style, and leads through to a verdant garden in the back.
The first of the two workshops is in this back area, and could be re-purposed for another use. The second workshop is at basement level, accessed down a stone-lined walkway.
As it is now this house has been configured to suit the needs of the current occupants, but its many rooms and amenities could easily be re-directed to a wide range of purposes, according to your own personal needs.
